The Rebel

A rebel is a person who set asides the common view to be a common person. Our society puts stress on own beliefs, tradition, and thought process prevailed in it. Following society’s norms we will only stay alive like other creatures. A rebel is just opposite to it. He questions on everything in our society and follows a lonely path to reach his own destination keeping all behind him.

He makes some unique job and surprises everyone in the society. But his path is not easy to follow. Because society compels us to come back to the life of common person. so, when anyone follows his unique way, he faces issues like criticism, fun and harrasement. Because our society is harsh and rude to these who don’t follow it blindly.

A rebel can teach us new lessons and how to accept different things, thought process and people around us. The rebel contradicts other. He wants to be different from other. The young character depicted in the poem tries to be different.

If rebel sees everyone wears uniform, he wears gorgeous dress. If everyone like bright day, he will prefer rain. seeing everybody like dogs, rebel would like cats. When everybody will remain silent, a rebel would create disturbances. Again if everybody prefer long hair, the rebel would cut his hair short.

When everybody has short hair,
The rebel lets his hair grow long.
When everybody has long hair,
The rebel cuts his hair short.
When everybody talks during the lesson,
The rebel doesn’t say a word.
When nobody talks during the lesson,
The rebel creates a disturbance.
When everybody wears a uniform,
The rebel dresses in fantastic clothes.
When everybody wears fantastic clothes,
The rebel dresses soberly.
In the company of dog lovers,
The rebel expresses a preference for cats.
In the company of cat lovers,
The rebel puts in a good word for dogs.

When everybody is praising the sun,
The rebel remarks on the need for rain.
When everybody is greeting the rain,
The rebel regrets the absence of sun.
When everybody goes to the meeting,
The rebel stays at home and reads a book.
When everybody stays at home and reads a book,
The rebel goes to the meeting.
When everybody says, Yes please,
The rebel says, No thank you.
When everybody says, No thank you,
The rebel says, Yes please.
It is very good that we have rebels.
You may not find it very good to be one.

Answer : If someone doesn’t wear a uniform to school, the teacher may ask the reason of not wearing uniform. He may advise the student to wear uniform like other students. Because it is one of the rules of school which should be maintained by the students as well as teachers and not teaching stuffs in school.

2.Question : When everyone wants a clear sky, what does the rebel want most?

Answer : When everyone wants a clear sky, rebel wants rain. Because rebel is always exceptional. He is not like others in his opinion and conduct.

3.Question : If rebel has a dog for a pet, what is everyone else likely to have?

Answer : If rebel has a dog for a pet, everyone else likely to have cat as their pets.

4.Question : Why is it good to be a rebel oneself?

Answer : A rebel does not follow others blindly. He maintains his own path. He thinks different and does different works from other. His uniqueness is his identity. To do better and something special. We need to be different from others. Otherwise, one’s own identity will be lost in crowd.

Answer : The society does not allow us to be different. Society nurtures old tradition, beliefs and old manners. If we do not follow these the society criticizes us, puts us on pressure. Someone compel us not to be different. From these point of view it is not good to be a rebel oneself.

Answer : Yes, I would like to be a rebel. Because our uniqueness is our identity. If we follow the vast crowd we can not be different. We must try to do better, think better and be better than other. Thus we can build our future bright, shining and different from others.
